Some area residents will fight to pay their home heating bills, even despite natural gas prices at decade low levels.
Thursday a news conference is scheduled to discuss options for Toledoans struggling with home heating bills.
Councilmen Steve Steel and Michael Ashford will be joined by representatives from Columbia Gas, Economic Opportunity Planning Association and neighborhood housing services.

Options Include:
- Contacting Columbia Gas at the first signs of difficulty paying heating bills
- Knowing the source and price you pay for natural gas
- Taking steps to conserve on gas usage
- Utilizing assistance programs, like HEAP and others, administer though EOPA
- Weatherizing you home, available through the NHS weatherization program
