Toledo, OH -- The high winds from the Southwest were back again on Wednesday and once again, as they did two weeks, ago, they pushed the Maumee and Ottawa Riverwaters out into the lake, leaving behind the river's muddy bottom and a mess for some boaters.
Most of the marinas in the area, from Perrysburg to Point Place, saw water levels drop several feet on Wednesday and that dropped the boats as well----many of the sitting in the mud and still unable to float.
Some boaters, like Jeff gartz at harborview Yacht club says they have already pulled their boats for the season so they don't have to put up with anymore aggravation from the wind.
While strong winds from the Southwest are not unusual in the autumn months, many boaters told NBC 24 they think the winds have come early this year and that it's rare to have such winds occur within a couple of weeks of each other.
