COLUMBUS (AP) -- Ohio State confirms that starting cornerback Donald Washington is practicing with the team and will play in the national championship game.
Last week, several media outlets reported that Washington and backup cornerback Eugene Clifford had been suspended from the team.
Ohio State later announced that Clifford had been suspended for an undisclosed violation of team rules, but no mention was made of Washington.
Ohio State football spokeswoman Shelly Poe said today that Washington is practicing and will be able to play in the title game against LSU January 7th in New Orleans.
