CINCINNATI (AP) - The University of Cincinnati's new president is ready to start work as the university's 27th president.

Gregory Williams starts his new job Monday with a welcoming celebration expected to include students, faculty, staff and university cheerleaders and band members.

The 65-year-old Williams is the former president of City College of New York. He was dean of the law school at Ohio State University before moving to New York in 2001.
