TOLEDO -- The City of Toledo is making sure residents learn as much as they can about the upcoming transition to automated trash pick-up.

An afternoon meeting was held Wednesday mainly for senior citizens with questions about the transition.

Representatives of the Division of Solid Waste provided information on cart distribution and how to use them.

Toledo City councilman D. Michael Collins says education is key while residents work to adapt with the upcoming change. "Change is always (an) unsettling experience for all of us as human beings and the object is to educate so we can embrace this and change with some of our fear being answered."

A meeting is also being held Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Toledo Health Science Campus Room 100.
