FREMONT, OHIO -- Troopers say a man died late Thursday night after falling from his motorcycle and being struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. Thursday on County Road 128 near TR 97 in Sandusky Township.  A 1976 Harley Davidson Softtail motorcycle being driven by Brian Everett, 42, of Elmore, was northbound on CR 128 when Everett lost control and laid the bike down.  Everett and his passenger, Carrie Everett, 42, were ejected from the bike.  A 1998 Dodge 1500 pick-up driven by Theodore Wise, Jr., of Fremont, was southbound on CR 128 when it struck the Mr. Everett who was laying the roadway.

Mr. Everett was pronounced dead at the scene.  Carrie Everett was transported by Life Flight to Toledo Hospital with serious injuries.

Troopers say neither victim was wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the motorcycle losing control.  Charges are pending.
