TOLEDO, OHIO -- The former owner of a South Toledo group home has been indicted on murder charges after the deaths of two men in her care.
Pamela Shay, 60, is charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter after Thomas Calhoun and John Jones died from excessive heat in 2008. A report done by the Ohio Department of Health found that the home's employees failed to provide the victims with fluids and medication. Shay is the only person facing charges at this time.
If convicted, Shay faces up to 23 years in prison.
