TOLEDO, OHIO -- Let the scavenger hunt begin! To mark the debut of their new McCafé Real Fruit Smoothies, McDonald’s is doing it up in a “big” way on Friday. If you spot a larger than life smoothie cup, don’t worry, it’s not your imagination. Customers who spot one of 30, three-foot tall Smoothie cups, hidden at various locations across Northwest Ohio/Southeast Michigan, can redeem it at any participating McDonald’s for a free year’s worth of Smoothies. The giant cups will be placed in the early morning hours on July 30 to be found throughout the day in locations around Northwest Ohio/Southeast. Customers might find the large Smoothie cups at a park, a school or even a local tourist destination. McCafé Real Fruit Smoothies, available in Strawberry Banana and Wild Berry flavors, are made with an invigorating blend of real fruit. A low-cal version of the Real Fruit Smoothie is available requesting the beverage with low-fat yogurt.
