TOLEDO -- Some Central Toledo businesses are already feeling the pain from a long-term construction project slated to restrict traffic on I-475/I-75 that has yet to officially begin.

Bill Morgan, owner of the Hock Shop pawn shop a half block from Monroe St. on Central Avenue is concerned that the road closings associated with the I-75 construction project will adversely affect his business.

"I think I will still have people coming in to sell me stuff but as far as people coming in to buy that will drop, of that I am most certain," Mr. Morgan.

Richard Hill lives off of Monroe Street and is already fed up with drivers who have been detoured down his block.  "The people speeding through my neighborhood and not stopping for the stop sign, they don't slow down for the kids; I think speed bumps should be put in," Mr. Hill said.
