TOLEDO -- On Tuesday, the world remembers a deadly disease during World AIDS Day.

In San Francisco, a memorial service will feature the reading of names of victims.

Closer to home, a local group will mark the day with free HIV testing.

The AIDS Coalition of Toledo Northwest Ohio says the tests take 20 minutes and require no blood.

The clinics are scheduled at the University of Toledo Student Union from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Also on Tuesday, "Life Storyz" will blend hip-hop and spoken word to raise awareness about the dangers of unprotected sex, gang violence and drugs and alcohol. That will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the University of Toledo's Student Union Ingman Room.

Also in the Ingman room, an AIDS quilt can be viewed Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and again Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
