SYLVANIA -- Students at Maplewood Elementary are all aboard for the 2009 Safe Crossing Week.

The Safe Kids of Greater Toledo designed activities to keep kids safe around trains and railroad tracks.

Students watched an interactive video to teach them to stay away from the tracks during the presentation on Tuesday.

In 2008, there has been 744 people killed and 1,372 injured in train accidents.

The Safe Crossing Program is part of the Canadian National Railway Company's All Abroad for Safety education program. It has been promoting railroad safety for more than 25 years.
