To recognize the servicemen and women affected by exposure to the herbicide Agent Orange used in the Vietnam War, an orange balloon release is taking place Wednesday.

It's happening at Friendship Park in Point Place from noon until 2:00 p.m.

The balloons will be released at 1:00 p.m. all over the nation.

Anyone is welcome to participate.

Only latex balloons should be used because of environmental concerns.

Exposure to Agent Orange has led to serious health issues in American veterans, as well as hundreds of thousands of deaths and devastating birth defects in Vietnam.
