TOLEDO -- The University of Toledo's business school dedicated a brand-new building Thursday as the college expands to meet demands of a growing community.

The Savage & Associates Complex for Business Learning and Engagement houses ten state-of-the-art classrooms, breakout rooms with video conferencing, five learning labs, a rooftop garden and other first-class features. The building is connected to the College of Business Administration's current home, Stranahan Hall on the university's Bancroft campus.

"This is a remarkable say of achievement for The University of Toledo, the College of Business Administration, the students we serve and our partners in the community," said UT President Lloyd Jacobs.

The 54,000 sq. ft. complex will serve as a portal to the regional business community, as well as the college's more than 3,400 students.

The names of heavy-hitters in the local business community, such as Huntington Bank, Ernst & Young LLP, and Jon B. & Lillian E. Neff, help name the building's learning labs.

"Our positive relationship with the region's business community enables us to provide real-world experience to our students," noted UT COBA Dean Thomas Gutteridge.  "At the same time we want businesses to know that the knowledge and expertise within the College are here to help them, and that the Savage & Associates Complex will be a focal point for businesses to access these resources."
