TOLEDO -- The Hollywood Casino Toledo will make it's way to the Glass City after Ohioans approved a measure to that would allow for four casinos in the state.
Backers of Issue 3 have estimated the new business will create 19,000 temporary construction jobs and 15,000 permanent casino jobs across Ohio in the coming months.
Penn National Gaming (PNG), the firm looking to begin building a casino in Northwest Ohio says they are happy with the decision made by Ohioans. "I'm going to thank all of our supporters in Rossford and Toledo that got us across the finish line. The voters of Ohio said resoundingly that they want this to happen and were (are) here to say its going to happen and its going to happen quickly," said PNG COO Tim Wilmott.
Each casino is expected to have up to five thousand slot machines. They will also have roulette, poker, Keno and Blackjack.
