TOLEDO -- The two men vying to be Toledo’s next mayor took advantage of the last few hours before the polls opened. At Democrat Keith Wilkowski's campaign headquarters volunteers took to the phones. Wilkowski himself called to encourage voters to examine his plans for the community and the economy.
At Independent Mike Bell's headquarters volunteers were out on the streets driving home bell's message of being a man Toledo can trust.
"I've never let you down as your fire chief and I’ve never let you down as your state fire marshal and if you allow me to be elected as your mayor I’ll never let you down with that too,” Bell.
“The people we've talked to care about what I think is the number one issue for us which is putting people to work,” Wilkowski.
