A 16-year-old, who allegedly slashed another teen's face with a machete, waived his arraignment today in Iosco County Circuit Court.

Brandon Brodt, of East Tawas, is accused of hitting 17-year-old Seth Thomas with the blade in August.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the attack.

Brodt is facing a Dec. 7 pre-trial.

He is being charged as an adult with assault and intent to murder.
