WHITEHOUSE, OH -- Some area high schoolers took part in an "A-MAZE-ING" race at the Butterfly House in Whitehouse on Labor Day.
Six area high schools raced through the mazes to see who had the shortest time. Each team had six members. The high schools competing were Perrysburg, Notre Dame Academy, St. John's Jesuit, St. Francis, Central and St. Ursula Academy.
Overall competition results: First Place: Saint John's Jesuit with 30 minutes and 59 seconds Second Place: Norte Dame with 31 minutes and 23 seconds Third Place: Perrysburg with 35 Minutes and 48 seconds Fourth Place: St. Francis with 36 minutes and 30 seconds Fifth Place: Central Catholic with 36 minutes and 40 seconds |
Individuals maze winners are: Maze #1 - Notre Dame with 4 minutes and 57 seconds Maze #2 - Perrysburg with 5 minutes and 16 seconds Maze #3 - St. John's with 14 minutes and 3 seconds |
The total distance of all 3 mazes was 4.5 miles.
The winning team, St. John's Jesuit, will receive an 8 foot Christmas tree from the Whitehouse Christmas Farm to be planted at their school.
