The Southern Christian Leadership Conference, first installed by Martin Luther King, Jr. re-installing new officers in Albany Tuesday.
Reverend Samuel Monsteller, state president of the SCLC was in town for the installation. Four officers total took the oath of office.
“We expect change and advocate for the people, small people who don't have a voice, those who've been left out or excluded, we're gonna bring them into the field of play,” Said Monsteller.
There have been accusations on the national level of mismanagement in the organization. An internal investigation is being conducted.
Officials today declined to comment on the matter.
