TOLEDO -- NBC 24 first met Scott and Joanne Nuzum 6 years ago when the couple was trying to find a new and bigger home for their growing family.  The Nuzum's had begun adopting children in 1983 and by the turn of the century the number had grown to over thirty, with many of the children being special needs children.  With the generous help of businesses and ordinary citizens the couple located an 11 acre plot of land in Bowling Green.  Much of the cost of the construction of the new home and the interior furnishings were provided to the Nuzums at no cost to them something that six years later Joanne is still grateful for. "The Lord has really blessed us we had a washer break down and the Appliance Center came and gave us two washers and two dryers," Mrs. Nuzum said.  The Nuzum's allowed NBC 24 into their home on Christmas as their children young and old opened up their presents.  "I love Christmas with my family; I hope I am good to my kids," Scott Nuzum said.  16-year-old Sammy is regarded as the family athlete.  He doesn't think having so many brothers and sisters is unusual.  "It's given me a lot of people to play with and you are never alone and they are all pretty nice and we get along pretty good," Sammy said.
