A local fitness center is offering a deal that saves you money, keeps you fit AND helps out charity.
Quick Fit is offering a basic fitness/gym membership to anyone interested for no charge.
In addition, Quick Fit will donate to charity for every person who enrolls as a member under this type of membership.
With the current state of the economy, more people are in need of basic necessities and turn to charities for these items.
The gym believes with the donations they make as a result of the new enrollees will help provide people with more of the basics that no individual or family should have to worry about.
In order to participate and receive the free fitness/gym membership, individuals just need to use the membership on a regular, consistent basis and tell friends and family about it as well.
This opportunity is available to both children and adults, as they currently have members ranging in ages from 9 to 86 years of age.
Daily activity is even more important as child and adult obesity is on the rise.
Fifty percent of the children population and 70 percent of the adult population are overweight or obese.
Quick Fit wants to provide a way for people to get the recommended daily amount of exercise.
The Surgeon General recommends 30 minutes a day to help combat the problem.
