TOLEDO -- A hospital spokesperson tells NBC24 that Robert Brundage has died as a result of his injuries from a June assault in his Old West End neighborhood.
Brundage, 66, died at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
Police say the man was riding a bicycle on Collingwood Ave. near Victoria Place Jun. 22 when Dailahntae Jemison, 15, punched him in the head, knocking him to the ground. The teen then took off with Brundage's bike.
Brundage was admitted to St. V's where he remained in critical condition until succumbing to his injuries Tuesday afternoon.
Jemison was charged with felonious assault. A pre-trial began in Lucas County Court Tuesday. There is no word on when or if charges against Jemison will be upgraded to include murder.

We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved Robert has passed away at St. vincent Mercy Medical Center this afternoon at 4:04pm. His loss not only affects our immediate family, but Bob's extended family, including his friends, neighbors and the Toledo community as a whole.
As sad as the family is, now is the time to celebrate his life and legacy for community improvement. His passion for serving others will always be remembered and his dedication to his hometown willl live on.
Oh behalf of our brother, we would like to thank the community for the outpouring of support and well wishes for our brother, particularly, those who responded at the scene. Additionally, our gratitude is given to the medical staff at St. Vincent Mercy Medial Center and the Toledo Police Department.
At this time, we ask the community to continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. We are working on organizing a public memorial service and will release details as they are confirmed.
