ARCHBOLD, OHIO -- Nobel Automotive Ohio, LLC has announced they will lay off over 100 workers beginning July 15.
The company sent a letter to the state's Department of Job & Family Services Jun. 11 stating that they would begin significant reductions in manufacturing operations at their Archbold facility around mid-July. About 75 employees will be laid off at that time.
The automotive supplies facility, located at 2120 S. Defiance St., is set to close at the end of Sept. 2009. All remaining employees will lose their jobs at that time.
The company cites the economic downturn and decreasing business as a results for its closing and subsequent layoffs.
146 employees in total are expected to be affected by the closure.
