TOLEDO, OH -- Twenty-nine of our country's veterans were honored Wednesday as part of the inaugural trip for Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio.

Honor Flight is an organization that flies vets to Washington, DC for one day free of charge.  During their trip, the vets can see the various war memorials, plus the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier.

Many of the vets have never been to DC, and for some, this is their last chance before travel gets to be too difficult.  Those people who went said this was an experience they'll never forget.

Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio hopes to take another trip next month.
