BOWLING GREEN, OH -- We are getting a clearer picture of the missing pilot with Toledo ties, now feared kidnapped. Robert Wiles was last seen April 1st near his work in Florida. His family lives in the Holland area, but NBC24 found some of the people who knew Robert Wiles best -- his fraternity brothers at Bowling Green State University.

The hunt for Robert Wiles has all the makings of a made for T-V movie with a nationwide search and ransom money paid.  Monday night NBC24 spoke with some of his former fraternity brothers at BGSU who had nothing but good things to say.

"He was one of the people I looked up to in the chapter when i joined," said Jason Thompson.

Thompson's friendship with Robert Wiles is unlike most --- Both shared a love of flying.

"He is a great pilot," Thompson said.  "Ii was just really stunned that'd he'd been kidnapped."

The two met when Thompson joined the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity at Bowling Green.  An immediately a friendship formed.

"I was very shocked that it was Rob of all people.  I mean for one it was somebody i knew , but it was also, out of most of my friends, he was the straightest of arrows."

As soon as word broke that Rob had gone missing, E-mails began flowing throughout the fraternity --- Including this one from Brian Chung.

He said quote:  "Maybe I'm in denial or something but I'm still not sure what to think. So I'm going with my instincts and intuition in saying I'm sure he's safe and will be home soon. Lets all hope for the best."

"I don't think Rob had anybody who wasn't his friend," said Mike Knilans, another frat brother of Wiles.  "Like Jason Thompson said the pilot was a guy you could trust."

"He was a genuine person, very firm handshake and you knew what he meant was what he was telling you, said Knilans.  "It was heartbreaking."

I also spoke with Chris Pohlman who worked for Robert's father at National Flight.  Hesaid Robert seemed like to nice of a guy for something like this to happen.
