TOLEDO -- The Valentine Theater in downtown Toledo was the site for the first annual Black Swamp International Film Festival.  Rich Iott is the festival's co-chairman.  "We had films entered from over 200 countries and excellent, excellent quality films, we had to pare that down to about 34," Mr. Iott said.  One of the films that was screened was Rocky Yost's drama "Lily's Thorn".  "Lily's Thorn is a very Capra-esque kind of movie-"Jimmy Stewart Goes to Washington" except this one Jimmy Stewart is a gal," Mr. Yost said.  Iott hopes to make the festival an annual event in Toledo.  "For our first year we have had a very good turnout and we had extremely good quality of films that were submitted, even the comments coming back from the film makers were wow you know the guys are competing against our top shelf films," Mr. Iott said.
