The world’s attention is focused on Denmark.  A decision on the host city for the 2016 Olympics is expected to be announced Friday afternoon.

Chicago is one of the four finalists.

An all-star cast, including Oprah and first lady Michelle Obama, have pleaded their cases to the International Olympic Committee all week.

President Obama arrived in Copenhagen Thursday night for the final presentation.  He’s the first U.S. President to make an in-person appeal to the International Olympic Committee.

Rio de Janeiro, Madrid and Tokyo are the other finalists.

Let's play the "Role Reversal and Would They" game..............

Let's play a game.......Let's play "Role Reversal and Would They” game. It's circa 2006 and President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush take separate flights to Copenhagen to “talk up” the Olympic Committee for the 2012 Summer Games for Austin Texas. With that scenario set, I have some questions of “Would they”…………………..

Would the media be awe inspired and non-judgemental that a sitting American President is taking time away from all of the countries troubles to do something so unprecedented?

Would environmentalists be so silent about the carbon footprint of the 5 to 6 (737’s through 767’s) jumbo jets that a Presidential junket takes?

Would Mike Ferner and his merry bunch of boobs be silent or painting overpasses on I-475 about the loss of life in Afghanistan and Iraq during this trip?

Would Marilou Johanek start a 38 week column about Mr. Bush and his trip of folly to Copenhagen?

I think we all know the answers……………………………just saying……………….
