United Way shifting tactics to meet funding goal

TOLEDO, OH -- The United Way of Greater Toledo gave an update of their campaign over breakfast Thursday.

The organization announced that it has raised $5.2 million so far.

Considering the state of the economy, the United Way is remaining optimistic and finding ways new ways for funding.

"We're reaching out to a different areas for out funds this year, were going after some of the largest employers in town, health care institutions, educations universities to meet our objectives," said Robert Hylant, United Way Campaign Chair.

The campaign ends December 10th.

A celebration is already scheduled to be held United Way's new building.
