The cold Northwest Ohio temperatures can take your breath away, literally.  Here’s Dr. I with some tips on how to breathe easier this winter.

“Did you know asthma is the most common chronic disease in kids?  Triggers can include dust, indoor pollutions, second and third hand smoke, exercise, cold viruses but also the weather.  Research from the University of Michigan showed an increase in asthma visits with changes in humidity as well as increases in temperatures.  Now you can't keep the weather under your control, but you can make sure your child is getting proper asthma medications.  Be sure to review with your child's doctor their medications and make sure you don't run out of their medications.  For NBC 24 I'm Dr. I.  Stay healthy Toledo."

If you have a health question, or medical topic, you would like Dr. I to address, please post it here on toledoonthemove.com.
