DETROIT (AP) -- President Barack Obama's drug czar is releasing results of the University of Michigan's annual report on teen drug abuse.

The results of the 2009 "Monitoring the Future Report" are being released Monday at the National Press Club in Washington by Obama anti-drug chief Gil Kerlikowske.

Lloyd Johnston at Michigan's Institute for Social Research has headed the federally funded project since it began in 1975.

This year, researchers interviewed 46,000 eighth, 10th and 12th graders about their drug, alcohol and tobacco habits.

The study also asks the teens about how they see the dangers of various drugs and what they think of those who take them.
