TOLEDO -- In celebration of Diabetes Awareness month free blood sugar screenings were available at the Westfield Franklin Park Mall on Friday.

ProMedica Health System held a health fair to demonstrate the importance of diabetes and how to manage it.

Physicians, pharmacists, dietitians, and athletic trainers were available to answer questions about the disease.

ProMedica representatives say you may feel fine even though your blood sugar is elevated. Ideally, you should have your blood sugar checked once a year to make sure it's in the normal range.
