Jennifer Taylor

School: Kent State University
Hometown: Twinsburg, OH

Jennifer Taylor is thrilled to be back home in the Buckeye State after joining NBC24 in June 2008! For over two years, Jennifer worked as the weekend anchor and weekday reporter in Erie, PA. It was there where she covered a number of notable stories including the arrest of FBI 10-most wanted fugitive Ralph “Bucky” Phillips. An award winning journalist, Jennifer was honored with the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasting award for her outstanding news special report. Prior to Erie, Jennifer interned, then worked for over two years, behind the scenes for the NBC affiliate in Cleveland.

Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the School of Communication and Information at Kent State University. Her passion for broadcasting began there as she held a variety of on-air positions for the award winning student-run television station, TV-2. Jennifer not only traveled as a sideline reporter for the Golden Flashes football team, but also had the privilege to cover the basketball teams in several NCAA tournament appearances.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending quality time with her husband Damien and the rest of her family in Ohio. She also enjoys photography, sports and always being active. Jennifer loves working in news because it’s a different adventure everyday. “I would rather be there when history unfolds, instead of just reading about it in a book.”

If you have a story idea, Jennifer would love to hear from you. Just email her at jtaylor@nbc24.com
