Eric Haubert is back at the station where he started his career.

As a senior in college, Eric was hired as a photographer at WNWO, when NBC24 was still an ABC affiliate. From here, Eric went to WTOL as a sports reporter/photographer, where he stayed from 1996-99.

From Toledo, he was off to Roanoke, Va., where he worked as a weekend sports anchor/reporter/photographer at NBC affiliate, WSLS-TV. Within a year, Eric's next stop was at WNCN-TV in Raleigh, N.C., as a sports anchor/reporter/photographer.

He finally came full-circle, returning to the Glass City and WNWO in 2003.

Some of Eric's career highlights include traveling with the Carolina Hurricanes throughout the Stanley Cup Finals in 2002; following Duke, North Carolina and North Carolina State University in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament; living in Australia for a month during the 2000 Summer Olympics; covering the Virginia Tech football team and Michael Vick the year the Hokies played for the National Championship; traveling to New York City to cover Fremont native Charles Woodson's Heisman Trophy ceremony; and experiencing several NASCAR events across the Southeast United States.

Eric is a Maumee native and graduate of Maumee High School. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BA in Journalism.

Eric married Bowling Green native, Rachael Zippay in February 2007. Eric and Rachael are members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Maumee.
